Prior to our visit to the Arch, my wife and I stopped in for brunch and we were served by our great server, Doug. Before I get to the food, let me talk about the decor and furniture. Classy, I believe would be the best word to describe it all. Comfortable chairs not seats that you would find in your own dining room, but chairs with soft cushions or stools that match as well that you can sink into and just sit and enjoy the Coldplay/Maroon 5/Train Pandora playlist as you sit and gaze out the window to the done up alley way in between the two possibly historic buildings on Washington. The window walls allow tons of natural light to flood in while trendy looking lights hang from the ceiling just in case the sun light was not enough. A pastry counter and a bloody mary bar line your walk to the serene table wherever that may be in the restaurant. About 5 thin LCD TVs hang from the ceiling playing sports or AntennaTV playing classic movies and television shows from the past as the mutely play in the background. There was something about Godspell playing without the sound that just made it cool. Behind our table was an area unto itself with furniture from Restoration Hardware told to us by the hostess that resembled Britney Spears. (When you meet her, you will understand.) When it came to ordering, Doug highly recommended the Ghiradelli hot chocolate. It was paired nicely with our ice water. *wink* We had a slight problem with my mug as it must have somehow passed quality control with some other woman's lipstick. It was quickly remedied and Doug apologized. What a different taste hot chocolate can have when you use quality ingredients. For the brunch entree I kept it simple with 3 eggs over easy, toast and bacon. It was just right and filled the gullet. My wife had the tomato, basil and mozzarella souffle. No complaints on her end and the cup of fruit finished it off nicely. Blondie's was the perfect place for us to finish off our 3rd Marriage Anniversary trip somewhere in the USA. Next time we pass on through St. Louis, Blondie's will be worth another visit and maybe, just maybe next time we will have dinner.

We came here for my birthday brunch and were pleased with it. The place is cute and the staff was very friendly and took great care of us. I had the eggs Benedict: one egg was a bit over poached, and the muffin under toasted, but it was enjoyable. Chris loved his pancakes and turkey sausage. The coffee was super delicious too! The real gem was the staff and the free birthday blondie!!

I was in St. Louis for a week. A friend and I happened upon this place. It is amazing! Loved the popover I had with apple butter and strawberry butter on the side. SO good. We both had smoothies that were amazing and couldn't help buying banana bread and one of their blondie bars on the way out. If you are looking for a unique cafe, go here!! The furnishings are also awesome.

I really am a fan of this place. I really like it because we sit on one of the couches and its like being in our own living room, except with prettier furniture. I really cant expand too much on the menu because when I go here I order and drink the same thing, I get the Chicken Salad and drink Betty Grables all night, which is essentially pineapple juice, amaretto, and cane rum. The decor is sleek and stylish and I would really like to know where they got those fabulous lamps, and the service is always really great and friendly.

My 1 star is for the 5 minutes of terrible customer experience that I spent at Blondies. We walked in today to get a cup of coffee and work at the place using their free WiFi. When I first walked in and inquired about the Internet access I was told by the lady at the register that it was complimentary and all I had to do was join the network called Blondies. I tried accessing it from my phone and laptop but the network would not show up. After trying for a few minutes I came up to the same lady and asked her if they could look into the issue. She said that it will show up eventually if I just waited. I told her that I've been waiting already for five minutes and whether anything can be done to get it back online. She looked at me annoyed as if I was disrupting her perfectly peaceful day and walked to the other lady working there and asked her where was the router. The other lady came up to the front and instead of helping just said that I just have to wait. Seriously! I told her that I've been waiting for a while and nothing was happening. After asking her to do something about it she just ignored me and walked away. That was it. We left our coffee that we purchased on the table and just left the establishment. I have to agree with some other reviewers on here about the quality of staff here. It's pretty abysmal. My wife had a breakfast here just this morning and enjoyed her food but also had a similar negative experience. If she was writing this review she might have given it another star or two for the food. But since my only encounter here was with staff who could care less about their patrons I am not going to be coming back here even if the food is great.

This concerns breakfast only. The much bragged about pop-overs are a joke. They're exactly what I would make at home with the Williams-Sonoma recipe. At home they won't cost a ridiculous amount of money (or time) and I wouldn't have to deal with all the pretentious nonsense (multiple flavors of butter?!) polluting the air of this place. The butter out of my fridge would taste fresh too. Coffee was ok. But not worth the wait or the cost or the annoying atmosphere with the gigantic tvs blaring away some news talk show. I'll rewrite this review if I ever get in on a different context. But downtown badly needs a really good, quick- breakfast option, and this sure ain't it.

The Shawny Pawny is delicious! And the Blondie, well lets just say they have their namesake down pat. I will be returning for sure.

Good happy hour drinks, ok happy hour food (split the flatbread with a friend and it was a bit on the microwaved/soggy side). Great patio seating and lots of fun indoor seating options. Agree with many of the other reviews on the staff though, the times I've been there the bartender hasn't seemed interested in giving good service to anyone.

I was put on the spot when 5 friends asked me: where shall the 6 of us have lunch on Washington Avenue. I suggested Blondie's - and it was a good choice because everyone enjoyed their lunch. Plenty of different drinks to choose from. Plus, they offer their breakfast items alongside their lunch items until mid afternoon. Nice.

The food was good especially the crab cakes. The communication between the wait staff and kitchen did not seem good, it took an exceptionally long time to be served. The wait staff was at times disinterested. To go orders is probably your best bet.

Definitely a fan. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was chill and relaxed for a midday snack. A pot of vanilla mint tea was perfect for a chilly gray day and the blondie was HUGE! Not too sweet, dense, and moist. This is a brownie that can easily be shared or saved for the second day. I'll for sure be back to try lunch.

I took my Mom out on Saturday afternoon as a pre-Mother's Day girls day out and we stopped at Blondie's to wrap up our day of wine and dining! The decor is very cute, I would say it's a good girl's night/day out spot. We sat on the patio on the side of the building to enjoy the weather. Our waitress was attentive and very nice and the place was pretty empty around 5:00 p.m. I had a glass of Santa Ema (Sav. Blanc), which is one of my favorite wines, so glad they had it! My Mom had a coffee and we shared a piece of bread pudding, which we are both huge fans of. First of all, the slice was HUGE- it was enough for both of us to eat and also take home! It was delicious, we thought it was one of the best we've tried at a restaurant. All in all, cute place with great desserts, I would definitely come for brunch sometime or for drinks after work with the girls.

This is a beautiful facility. However, the owner can be a bit feisty and short-fused. The pop-over bread idea was great, but please stop serving stale bread. I stopped eating here because my orders were either wrong, stale or the service from the owner was not genuine, she made me feel rushed and uncomfortable (while cleaning and restocking as I continued to wait for her to finish) I am a paying customer, you don't make organizing a priority, I am your priority, bread and butter. I was called Ma'am...I am a young adult who is offended by that. Don't call young women Ma'am. However, the decor is luxurious and Romantic-Americana. I love the name and the ambiance. But for me, it is not a comfortable hang out. I won't be back. I wish you well in spite of my reservations to frequent your cafe. Best regards.

We just ate here and had absolutely terrible service. Our food took over an hour to be served and only two people at a time. The first plate and last plate were served over 20 minutes apart. The waitstaff was unapologetic and on top of that the food was very mediocre. The soup was salty, one of the orders came out incorrectly. Our waters were never refilled. I would much rather be informed to expect a delay and wait for our food to arrive at the same time.

Loved Blondie's for brunch! My husband and I made our way out there on a rainy Saturday morning and was absolutely pleased with the cozy atmosphere, excellent service and delish food. We ordered the eggs benedict ($10.50, comes with prosciutto, not Canadian bacon - yay!) and sourdough french toast ($7.75). So good! Definitely try the french toast if you are deciding between that and another sweet breakfast item. I'll be going back soon and would highly recommend trying Blondie's for Saturday/Sunday brunch. And if you are looking for a fun place for a girls brunch...this is your spot!

The only way I could love this place more is if they named a drink after me (unfortunately I'd have to be blonde...and famous....) I can only say "C'est Magnifique"! A corner spot with a cute patio, this place has so much personality and pizzaz I didn't want to leave. Mismatched, stuffed chairs with exotic animal patterns, sling back chairs straight out of the '50's, and helloooo Frank Sinatra crooning into my classic loving ears while I enjoyed my time here. The chandeliers themselves make me want to come back--made from wine bottles over the bar, it is a place I can only call 'homey'. I ordered the Scallop & Shrimp Combo (only $10), which comes on a bed of cauliflower couscous and let me tell you, I could have cried into this. The couscous had such extraordinary flavor and had grilled carrot slices separating it from the seafood; it was a fantastic combination. The scallop and shrimp were perfectly cooked (probably "The Best I Ever Had") and seasoned leaving me satisfied and extremely tempted to order more even though I was already content! Their coffee selections are wonderful and their signature drinks are potent-but you definitely get what you pay for! Take a step back in time and visit this little place, you'll be walking out singing a different tune....most likely, "I've Got You Under My Skin".

Since my initial review, Blondie's has made a number of improvements, so I have to bump them up another star. Let's start with food -- the popovers have improved in quality substantially -- every time we've been there, they've tasted fresh and delicious. Very impressive. Additionally, some of their other offerings (such as the beef carpaccio) have been absolutely amazing. Drinks? Oh, it's Wednesday. Which means that it's $4.00/glass Wednesday. Yeah, that's a winner. Big time. Service? Always excellent. Our drinks never went empty, which is _very_ important for us. New businesses have growing pains -- Blondie's has been moving past them and succeeding.

Went there for lunch today. Had the Greek salad and added grilled chicken. It was ok, small salad with few toppings. My biggest complaint is the snotty girls who work there. They were rude when taking our order, didn't acknowledge us or ask us if we needed anything when they brought our food out. As we walked by 4 employees when leaving, no one thanked us for coming. They were cold, rude and the food was okay.

What an atmosphere! Sleek, stylish, and 40's Hollywood glam right down to the black and white movies playing on the flat-screen TV's (on mute of course!). Eat: - Sweet and Spicy Popcorn, made with Sugar, Chili Powder, Salt, Cinnamon & Cayenne Pepper - Roasted Red Pepper and Gouda Soup (silky smooth delight) - JuJu Veggie Sammy made with Avocado, Cucumber, Sprouts, Swiss, and a Pesto Spread Imbibe: - Original Sin Hard Cider - Any of the Martini's named for Hollywood starlets. I like the Betty Grable. - Red wine, there is an extensive selection Enjoy: - The Marilyn Monroe dessert martini which is a Rum, Vanilla Vodka, Irish Cream delight - Sweet and flavorful, Popover Bread Pudding Topped with Candied Pecans and Caramel I've heard the brunch is amazing but I really enjoy the upscale evening atmosphere. This is where you want to take your trendy college roommate when she comes in for a visit or, men, where you take a girl on a first date if you are seeking to impress. Eat, Imbibe, enjoy!

I am reactivating my Yelp account to write this review. Service: We stopped in for Brunch on Sunday, were sat by the hostess and almost immediately our service went downhill. There was confusion on the patio over who was serving who. After we finally placed our orders it took about 10 mins to receive our coffee and iced soy latte. As soon as I tasted my latte I knew something was wrong; it tasted like iced coffee with spoiled soy. It took about 45 mins to receive our food, our waitress did not check back in with us until this time. I informed her of my lattes ill flavor and just said I'd take an orange juice instead; took about another 10 mins to get this OJ (she brought out a few other customers orders in the mean time) Food: We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches, both of which were just ok. Nothing we couldn't prepare by ourselves at home. I will say the pesto on the Blonde Bomber is pretty tasty, but other than that the flavor was pretty bland. We also ordered a cranberry scone, which we didn't receive until the waitress brought us our check. It was wrapped in saran wrap; my husband and I looked at each other and laughed out loud. We were pretty angry at this point and really did not even want our scone. As we were exiting the restaurant I asked the hostess to speak to someone in charge. I informed the manager that we were very upset with our service. Her response was that they had just hired a few new employees and they were still in training. She also informed me that they are trying to 'train their customers' to make reservations for their restaurant especially on the weekends so they know what kind of crowd to expect (...Any good brunch business knows how many customers to expect on a Sunday regardless of reservations). I told her about my 'iced soy latte' and she said 'oh yeah, about that, I ran over to the Washington Post to grab some soy milk as we were out but they only had 'soy base' so we used that to make your latte. After I made your latte I tasted the result and decided to nix the 'soy base' off the menu' (I was just in awe at this point that they didn't approach me about my drink after they served it to me). We paid our bill, and left with a feeling of no resolution. This is not how I want to spend my Sunday. Worst brunch experience I've had in St. Louis (Rooster downtown is much more commendable)

Kinda pricey for a cup of coffee and the blonde manager is a stuck up. Get out on the floor and interact with your customers lady!! She's blahhhhh!!! The tomatoe soup is yumm though and so is the Marilyn Monroe martini but $10 a tiny glass is too much!!! It's mostly rum chata! F it! I'll pay the $10 lol

I stopped here for brunch with a wedding party of 12. The service was friendly and fantastic. Our waitress was had a great personality and was very attentive. The menu has a good variety of things. I had the spinach and goat cheese soufflé, which was perfect. The brunch Bloody Mary bar had everything including olives, asparagus and bacon!

One of the best places on Washington Avenue to sit outside and relax. A very relaxing atmosphere both inside and out, with service to match. We enjoyed both outside for people watching and inside for the fireplace and black and white movies on the televisions. One of the best features of Blondie's is that while the rest of the block is loud and raucous, Blondie's is a nice oasis away from all of this. Food and drink: Blondie's offers an above average list of wines by the glass, and some very nice beer selections. I enjoyed several red wines, a cava, and a few glasses of beer over several recent visits. They also offer a limited menu of smaller plates, charcuterie and the likes, from which I have not ordered. Given their offerings, I'm sure these are quite nice. Also a very nice feature is their $4 wine nights on Wednesdays, which is always a plus. We will definitely be back in the future...

Absolutely awful. The one star is for our sweet server who was trying her best. This place just sucked. My coffee mug had a big lipstick stain on it and my husband's orange juice glass had a big lip smudge on it. Waitress brought us new ones. Coffee was not drinkable, it had been poured before the pot was finished brewing and was thus way too strong. Then, we ordered the popover with apple butter to start. Popover was a strange, overcooked on the outside, wet on the inside specimen. Apple butter was definitely straight out of a jar, the cinnamon flavor was overpowering. Our egg sandwiches weren't redeeming. My husband's was supposed to come with bacon of which there was none. Mine was bland and tasteless. We both got sides of potatoes that might have been good if they had been fully cooked. Presentation was lame, a little bit cafeteria like, with sandwiches cut in half, separated by a small bowl of potatoes in the middle. If this place weren't serving mostly out of towners who are staying downtown (who just need a place to eat), there is no way it could stay in business. I think I've had food experiences in airports that were better quality than this place. Stay away or do yourself a favor and get fast food instead.

I guess I expected more from Blondie's since there are so many 5 star reviews. I wasn't all that impressed. We went late on a Friday night and had a few glasses of wine and small plates. We got the baked brie and the hummus. Neither were really great. The brie was really slimy, and I may have not been able to eat it without the strawberry & black pepper jam. I actually did stop eating it after a few bites. The hummus was just ok, not much flavor at all. I really like the atmosphere here and I could see it being a great place to bring a group of girlfriends. I'm kicking myself now for not trying more in hopes of a better experience. I really want to come back to give Blondie's another try for brunch, lunch, and dessert!

Blondie's makes me wish I still worked downtown. It is a great addition to Washington and I've been (mostly) impressed the two times I've been. First just for drinks late on a Saturday. Other than 2-3 other small parties, the place was quiet. I was really surprised considering how busy everything else seemed to be. The decor is brilliant - cozy, comfortable, and practical. It's a mix of normal dining tables along with armchairs and sofas. Since we weren't ordering food we were able to relax by the fire. Nice! I was also there for lunch on Saturday and the food was delicious. I tried the veggie sandwich and the turkey, green apple, mayo sandwich. Both came on a plain popover which made them impossible to eat with your hands. They were closer to an open-faced sandwich. Which leads me to my first complaint - the paper than they cover the plates with. Makes no sense at all. The sauce from the sandwiches quickly made the paper soggy and since I had to eat with utensils I was carving up the paper along with my sandwich. It was really annoying and impossible not to do. But that's an easy fix. The veggie was world's better than the turkey and this is only the second time ever I've raved about a veggie sandwich. You get either chips or fruit as a side and the chips come in a generous portion. My other complaint is service was really, really slow. Slow to order, really slow to get our food (even though, again, there were only 3 other tables occupied), and we never did get our check delivered. We eventually went up front to pay. If service is like this during the work week, I can't imagine who would continue to go here. Big bonus points for playing TCM on the TV's. But not cool that they have two bathrooms, both of which are unisex. Please make one a boy's and one a girl's. I hate using a public restroom after a guy. Gross. But overall I love this place and it seems to work equally well as a lunch spot or late night hangout, which few places can do.

Not much of a selection for wines. They only offer wine flights one day out of the week. Clean, waitstaff is attentive. I was mislead thinking it was more of a wine bar than what it is.

I decided to try this place with one of my besties since she heard about it. I love coffee and wine so I figured, why not? I had driven past it on my way to other places on Washington Ave and it looked pretty cute from the outside. From the moment I stepped into Blondie's I was thrilled with how cute the decor of the place was! The lighting was perfect, the atmosphere really nice, and I was in love with all the furniture! We ordered drinks, myself a crazy caffeinated concoction of some sort called the Blondie's Big Bang Latte, and my friend a matcha green tea latte. Both were delicious! We then ordered the hummus which was decent, but I feel like I've had better elsewhere. We also ordered the baked brie...sooooo GOOD! It comes with this black pepper jam of some sort which was so amazing combined with the baked brie. We couldn't stop eating it! (I actually ended up going again a week afterwards with another friend and ordered it again.) I ordered the Kendall Ann sandwich which was also decent. My friend had the Shawny Pawny sandwich which was super greasy, but wonderfully yummy! The chips here are amazing, I think they might be homemade? For the grand finale (the second time I made my way to Blondie's) we decided to try Blondie's Signature Blondie. All I have to say is OH EM GEE. They are living up to their name with this one. It was a huge serving (so definitely share), the butterscotch and toffee flavors were perfect and I almost picked up the plate and licked it off! Overall, I think the coffee drinks have good flavor, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderful! And to top it all off, the service is extremely friendly and very attentive! Perfect for a girl's night out starter!

Food great, service not. I don't know why everything took so very long (the restaurant was not that busy) but we wouldn't see our waitress for 15-20 minutes at a time, and had to ask for everything from silverware to water refills. Disappointing experience.

Love this restaurant!!! Feels like you've walked into a hip New York City Coffee & wine bar. But it's not just for drinks. Amazing food, especially love it for Sunday brunch!! And the best deserts EVER!!! Amazing portion size, you'll have to split it with someone:) And the best cocktails! Love the Madonna. Don't miss this great spot! They also have lots of TV's so it's a fun place to watch a cards or Rams game!

I would give this no stars if I could. I went here for Sunday brunch a few weeks back. There was no host/hostess despite the sign stating "please wait to be seated." Finally, after 10-minutes of servers walking to and from the dining area past me, a server finally acknowledged my existence and asked if I wanted to be seated. She sat me at a table - which she stressed to me was not her station - and said a server would be with me in a moment. After that, I was never approached by server. After 15 minutes - I left. If judging on service, this place lacks incredibly. I walked to the London Tea Room which made up for the non-existent service at this place.

This place was a nice quiet place with a great ambience. A great place for a date night. They have a fireplace that would be awesome to sit in front of on a cold night sipping some wine or a hot coffee drink. We ordered the Brennan Reece sandwich, it was a good hot roast beef sandwich that that was topped with cheddar cheese and a horseradish sauce that added a spice that topped it perfectly and I don't usually like horseradish sauce. We also ordered the Margherita Flatbread with Salami, we were disappointed with this . It was cut into 8 pieces but only 4 of them had salami on them and one was pretty much a tomato on top of bread. It could have been a lot better but there was too little in the toppings, only half of it was prepared the way it should have been. We both had two glasses of Garnacha de Fuego that is on there Wednesday happy hour for $3 a glass. It compares to a Malbec, very delicious. I had to order one of there alcohol coffee drinks before I left. I was wanting something hot but The Robert Redford caught my eye and it didn't disappoint. Very delicious ice cream shake with Amaretto and Kahlua and toasted almonds. It was one of the best shakes I've ever had. I can't wait to go back and this time I want to order the Blondie's Signature Blondie. This place should be a must try for those that are out in the St. Louis area.

i dragged a friend along to buy a gift. blondies is located right around the corner from where the parking lot. the guy behind the counter was nice. it took him a minute to see we where there. i decided to get the Big Bang iced latte. the drink he described as having almondy toffee flavor. i thought "YUM". i was not expecting chunks of toffee and almond in the coffee. the flavors where not there, even with the chunks in there. it was ok.

After my experience here last Friday night I've gotta bump it up to 5 stars. J and I came here for a low key dinner after a long week and it was perfect. Our server was super sweet and attentive, always making sure we had fulls drinks. I tried the Original Sin hard cider and it was really smooth and refreshing. For my food I ordered a roast beef sandwich (I wish I could remember the name) and it was satisfying without being a huge portion. The sandwich came with chips that J and I shared. I am really glad I shared the chips because they are super addicting and I would have eaten them all otherwise. J ordered the sesame crusted salmon special and said it was cooked to perfection. Blondie's is such a nice cozy spot and the atmosphere is super intimate, especially in the dim evening lights by the fire place.

Average in every way. The food is what you would expect, with no surprises and everything was overly salty. Skip this place and go to Tavolini just down the street for much better soups and sandwiches.

I have visited Blondies two time in the last month. The first visit I met some girlfriends here for a small baby shower. I checked the website prior and was skeptical since the website did not show any photos. I was pleasantly surprised by The tall booths and cozy atmosphere. We had light apps and sat in front of the fire. There is several conversation areas that give an intimate feel. The apps we shared were delish. I could not stop eating the black bean spinach dip and the warm pita slices. The staff was attentive and accommodating. I could not wait to return and did last weekend. I brought 5 people and again sat in front of the fireplace sipped wine and thoroughly enjoyed the baby portabella flatbread, chicken pesto flatbread, black bean spinach dip, shrimp flatbread, the shawny pawny and ace sandwiches. They have a wine flight that is really nice. We finished our evening with an amazing dessert - the brownie sundae. It was warm and plenty for the 6 of us to share we could not finish it!! Again the staff again was accommodating and attentive. Look forward to visiting again!

food was good. coffee was just ok. Service was slow.... we did have a large party but it was like they were doing each cup of coffee and getting each dessert one at a time, and serving us so slowly half the crowd was done before some got their first cup of coffee or anything to eat. not well organized at all.

I think I love you Blondie's Coffee and Wine Bar. You are very chic and dimly lit. You also have nice lounge chairs. You are a stylish reprieve from the normal banality of Washington ave. we enjoyed the Pork Tenderloin over polenta cakes, and the Scallops with couscous. Yummy! Very good drink menu featuring martinis named after movie stars. Had the Betty Grable and the Sarah Jessica Parker. Both were fantastic. Didn't have dessert but will go back soon. Maybe tomorrow for Breakfast.

Blondies atmosphere and friendly service are the top reason to visit. I visited for Restaurant week and it left a sour taste in my mouth laterally; the lemon chicken with parm risotto was so tart that I didn't even attempt to eat the chicken because everything on the plate tasted like lemon soaked lemon. This was my second entree, the first being the fillet. It was over cooked (asked for Medium-got midwell/well) and it was butterflied with no taste whatsoever. The staff was MORE than friendly when I didn't like what I had and offered quickly to get me something else. On a high note, for an app I got the scallops and I LOVED them! I could have eaten an entire plate of those things! The turtle cheesecake was good too. I don't think the fillet or chicken are regulars on the menu...maybe a trial run before serving the guests or just tasting the food as a whole could have alleviated a lot of problems with the taste of everything. I would return because they were accommodating, friendly, and the atmosphere was top notch!

Adorable! Wish there were more places like this here! This review is only for lunch - Both times I have gotten the Juju Veggie Sandwich, which I love. Though the popovers are yummy, I preferred the sandwich on the regular panini bread. Their chips are also amazing. The place itself is super cute...I can't wait to keep coming back.

Went here for breakfast and then later on dessert that same night. Breakfast was really good and I loved he overall atmosphere. We sat on the patio and enjoyed fantastic fresh fruit, perfectly done eggs, bacon and a very good cup of coffee. My only negative to the breakfast was the limited menu since it was a weekday. I went there to have the french toast I read about in other reviews, but it wasn't on the weekday menu. we returned at the end of the day to try the Blondie dessert which was great, maybe a little too sweet for me! I will definitely return here if I am ever in St.Louis again.

My friend and I stopped by Blondie;s on a whim. She liked the coffee and I liked the wine flight. Not everyone can pair the wines correctly to make a good flight.

A very nice addition to Washington Avenue. A very comfortable decor and design with a nice breakfast menu. Good coffee and an attentive staff. Well done.

I've been to Blondie's a couple times now for business meetings over tea. The atmosphere is pleasant and conducive to business meetings. The tea was brewed rather strongly; I'd probably request less loose leaf tea in the pot next time. I'll be back as it's a convenient location for some of my colleagues on Washington Ave.

Love love love Blondie's! Such a class and sleek ambience and my waitress was so nice, upbeat and professional. The small plates were delicious and although Blondie's is a bit pricey, the atmosphere and vibe was worth every single penny. That was one of the better glasses of Malbec that I've had in a long time.

Love the food & cocktails, but especially the atmosphere. Beautiful job with the the ambiance and decorating. Also, friendly and inviting staff. I'm here several times per week for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just cocktails.

Best waitresses (shout outs to Rebecca and Tanya) ever!! I came here practically every week with my husband. I love the environment of being able to bring my laptop and working on whatever I wanted. We even got hugs, when we told them that we would be moving to San Diego. I still miss this place and trying to find a replacement for it here in SD. I always got the Kaldis iced tea, which is the best black tea I've ever had and a bagel or an omelet to eat. Sometimes, if I really needed it I'd grab a coffee or orange juice. Everything here is phenomenal. If you don't come here for breakfast or brunch when visiting St. Louis, you are missing out!!

Pro: My favorite choice in downtown StL for a weekend breakfast. The Chorizo Flatbread is a can't-miss success, and the Bloody Mary bar is a fun adult way to get your essential vitamins and minerals! Con: The weekend brunch menu is, in my opinion, more robust than the weekday menu, so I limit my visits to Saturdays and Sundays. Bottom Line: a great choice, whether you're replenishing from an active night or preparing for an ambitious day!

Great easy breakfast. Went pre city museum. Bagel cheese and bacon. Good potatoes. Great coffee. Kid friendly. Very nice people working there. Kid pancake like a crepe. Really good.

I'll be brief... Great Washington Ave location, adorable decor, cooks more than accommodating, nice menu options and ordering off the menu is acceptable, the sweets looked amazing (especially those ginormous blondies and brownies staring at you at the check out counter. Two thumbs down though: 1. The cashier had -10 personality which makes the initial encounter suck 2. The coffee is pretty mediocre Not sure I'll be back, but that depends on how desperate I am.

Blondie's is a really pretty cafe in downtown St. Louis with excellent coffee and less than excellent food. I had steak and eggs and wasn't blown away. My steak was relatively tough but the eggs were good. I had French toast too and that was very tasty, fluffy and just the right amount of sweetness. I really wanted to give this place 3.5 stars but yelp doesn't seem to do half stars. I would definitely try Blondies again, I think the other menu items will be better.

I'm very disappointed that I feel the need to write a bad review on this place...I've never written a bad review in my life. We've been here a few times, and it's hit or miss. The few times it's been good, it's a wonderful place for brunch, good food and great atmosphere. But when it's bad, it's bad. We waited for at least 35 minutes for a table earlier today when there were plenty available. By the time we finally got seated, there was no waitress in sight, no silverware on our table, no menus, or anything else we needed. When the waitress finally appeared she asked us if we were ready to order...We told her we hadn't even seen menus yet. When she finally brought the menus over she dropped them off and was gone so quickly we couldn't tell her that she forgot to bring over a drink menu...So I had to get up and steal one from the still empty table next to us. She finally took our order and after another long wait we got our food. But she only brought three sets of silverware with her (we were a group of four) because they didn't have enough rolled. My Fiancé and I both ordered the Blondie's Slinger, which has been awesome every time we've ordered it...Not this time. Mine was so spicy I could hardly eat half of it. The sausage was doused in some kind of ultra spicy orange sauce that made the whole thing inedible. My Fiancés plate had almost no meat on it, which disappointed him until he tried the horribly spicy sausage all over mine. I'm not sure if they changed the ingredients or what, but it tasted like a completely different dish. Super spicy sausage, different (and overpoweringly strong) seasoning, and weird watery gravy. Service has always been spotty here, but up until now the food has been good enough to make up for it. Now that the food is also very inconsistent, I'm not sure we will ever come back.

I love this place. Blondie's exhibits the very posh and upscale attitude of downtown; it's a perfect fit. Their menu is extensive, but very neat and clean. Their cappuccino is delicious and my go-to drink there. The seating arrangements outside are the best. I feel like I'm in Europe. The staff is so friendly, and waitresses are nothing but QTs. Their Blondie Pastry is their signature one but very fattening... it's damn good though.

Yummy breakfast-flying solo so I sat at the bar facing the street. Quick and delicious. I enjoyed a hot tea, bacon egg &a cheese on multigrain and fruit cup. Fun music and light, bright modern atmosphere for a breakfast joint!

I was in St. Louis for a whirlwind getaway, and happened upon this cute place after leaving the City Museum. I had a refreshing Peach Bellini and the chicken salad lunch. It was reasonably priced, and quite delicious! The waitstaff was super friendly and understanding when I spent my lunch on the phone with my sick boyfriend. My server even said "A phone lunch date! adorable!"

This is a super disappointing review to have to write. Blondie's benefits from being on Wash Ave., close to some other cool spots. It's a very nice and clean space and you can generally see many local business people hanging out there for coffee or lunch meetings. But, I think because they have a pretty nice ecosystem, they're letting other things suffer. Their service leaves a lot to be desired. Food comes out haphazardly and if you mention anything about it you're met with a "meh" attitude. I grabbed a sandwich there the other day, asked for no dijon mayo, and they made it with it. I didn't have time to wait for a remake so I had to scrape it off. That, and it comes on cheap wheat bread you buy at the store. $9 sandwiches shouldn't be made wrong. Or on cheap wheat bread you buy at the store. The worst part is I live and work nearby and desperately would love to love this place, but management clearly isn't interested in making it good. At least not at this point. If you're on Wash Ave, go to the Washington Ave Post for coffee -- they're really nice! Or, head down to Pine and get to Mississippi Mud -- great coffee! Blondie's just isn't worth the time right now.

Great place to go for breakfast/ brunch downtown. Bloody Mary bar was fun; popovers were really cool and picking a couple of dipping sauces or spreads was fun to try. Had a lovely Eggs Benedict (just be sure to tell them to cook them soft if that's what you want!). Nice ambience, and when the weather is warm, it must be great fun to sit in their patio section. A beacon of light in what was otherwise an area with rolled up sidewalks!

Ugh. The only thing keeping this place from a 1-star review was the food, which was actually pretty darn tasty. That and a nice outdoor seating area. Everything else about the experience was pretty mediocre. The place has potential, but needs several major improvements. Service was TERRIBLE. The waitress seemed irritated with my questions about the wine list, ignored our basic requests (like salt and pepper, water refils, etc.), and seemed to rush us out without even offering dessert (which i am pretty sure is what they are known for and what we originally came for, but I guess not tonight since she couldn't be bothered). I could bore you with all the nitty gritty details, but I was unimpressed from start to finish. Plus, their live music was pretty abysmal. With so many similar, better options in St. Louis, don't waste your time or money at blondies.

Blondie's is a cute breakfast place on Washington Ave. that I always take my guests to. There is usually a wait on the weekends so call ahead of time if you have more than 4 people with you. Their coffee selection is one of the best downtown and they serve it to you right away as you wait for your food. There are big open windows inside so you can see what's going on downtown while enjoying sunlight. Perfect brunch spot!

What a shame! This place has a great atmosphere and a really nice breakfast and lunch menu. The popovers were delicious and the food, overall, was good quality. The "do it yourself" Bloody Mary bar is a great idea. Basically, this could be the perfect urban breakfast and lunch joint. I came in with high hopes. Hopes were still high as they seat us in the specified time and then we waited. And waited. And then waited. Finally, our drink orders were taken and phase 2 of waiting began. Waiting and inattention. The wait staff had about 14 conferences but moved no food. The place was emptying out but our drinks still didn't make it. 25 minutes after being seated we got drinks. The wrong drinks but, heck, we were parched so we drank them anyway. Then waited again for our order to be taken. Long story short... An hour after we were seated we got our food. And it was the wrong food again. Oh well... If they paid any attention to their customers or what they serve this place would be great.

I hosted a three-day conference recently and asked Blondie's to provide breakfast on all three days. Ali was really great to work with. She provided help in budgeting for 30 people and was flexible when I needed to make changes. She and Andrew set us up each morning with a great spread that all of our attendees loved. Some even called it 'fancy'. :) The food was great, the coffee hot, and the service couldn't have been better. If you're looking for a delicious way to start the day you can't go wrong with Blondie's.

Solid 3 stars here. I love the feel of the place and the location pretty close to the office. We've walked by many times but this was our first time stopping in. The ordering process is a pay first, then go take your number to your table type of setup. We both got a pick two with a sandwich and soup. I got the half shawny pawny and the special soup, broccoli cheese with chicken. I liked the sandwich, it was fairly small for a half, but I wasn't too hungry, so no big deal. It had a huge chunk of avocado in it that kept sliding around and the sandwich fell apart a few times. Would've been nice to have the avocado cut smaller. The broccoli cheese isn't what I'm used to.. it was very watery, and I felt like it was blended before adding the chicken chunks to it. The chicken in broccoli cheese, very weird addition. Every time I got a bite, I felt like I was eating chicken noodle without the noodles. I felt both were good, but not great. The Mrs. had grilled cheese. Hers came out about 5 minutes before mine, which was odd. She got the potato soup which again was just ok. The grilled cheese was a pretty big letdown. The cheese wasn't melted at all, just sliced cheese, not cold, but just lukewarm. It could've been left on the flattop or even a panini press for a little longer, maybe for the 5 minutes they were making mine... We'll probably give it another try, but there are a lot of better options downtown. I hate to compare them to Bread Co, but I'd give Bread Co a higher review over Blondies for soup and sandwiches. They are about the same price. Service was mediocre, waited awhile for someone to help us in front, then had to walk up to grab the drink we ordered, then was brought the wrong soup (which they corrected before we had to tell them, I actually really appreciate that)... Bonus for having beer/wine/liquor! I wanted it to be better, as my Yelper buddies Aimee and Aaron gave them 5 stars. That's why we'll give it another shot, because I'm usually right about where they are with reviews. I'll update the review with our next experience.

Don't know what was up today. Went in, walked up to the counter and was stared down by the young girl at the counter and not greeted at all. I told her, I think I want a brownie a la mode, but I wanted it to go. I picked out a brownie and was about to buy it. I asked her a couple of questions, and she seemed pained to answer them. I asked her to warm it up and put the ice cream on it. She said, that's a separate thing, and she couldn't just charge me for the brownie plus a scoop of ice cream, which would've been cheaper... Ok...??? That wasn't really the problem, it was more that the girl at the counter could've cared less and was not personable at all. I also told her I wanted a brownie a la mode to go when I first walked in, and would've appreciated her saying something from the start. I did order a White Chocolate Mocha, which was good.

Was recommend by a friend to go here while I was in town. It was ok but nothing special I didn't think. Ordered a breakfast sandwich that had no seasoning on the eggs and my wife had eggs benedict with same issue. The waitress ignored request for crispy bacon and toast was not even toasted for my friends breakfast. So some good things was that the Bloody Mary bar they had going was good with a chipotle mary mix. The pastry they brought with our food and the spreads with it were womderful. Nice atmosphere and staff was friendly.

Blondie's was the very first restaurant/bar I went to when I moved to St. Louis. I was looking at Lofts on Wash. Ave. and the store front of Blondie's caught my attention....the wine and dessert menu also caught my attention. So of course I had to try it. The interior of Blondie's is swanky. This is definitely a perfect place to meet a friend for a glass of wine. Every booth/seating option is slightly different which makes the restaurant that much more appealing in my opinion. Blondie's desserts are top notch for St. Louis. They are presented in an elegant fashion and taste just as good as they look! I don't live on Wash. Ave. anymore so I don't visit Blondie's as often as I used to. This review reminds me that I need to go back!

Spring 2014 always seemed to be rainy. When an uncharacteristically sunny Friday rolled around, we parked near 14th and Washington, and stepped into Blondie's for drinks and appetizers. It's a lovely place, and the patio is particularly nice on a good weather day, as it's set back from the noise of Washington on an alley between Blondie's and Rosalita's. The Smoked Salmon Bruschetta and Chicken Sliders (w/o pretzel bun for GF Therese) were very good. House chardonnay wasn't particularly flavorful, but was happy-hour priced. But the Chenin Blanc / Viognier blend (Pine Ridge, I think) was very good. We left too early to enjoy the live music. Even without the music, Blondie's is a fun place to start a date night.

I was in town for the Blackhawks game, the bf and I were walking around looking for a place to grab a quick bite. Came in to Blondies for breakfast, we were seated right away! The coffee was fresh and all of our food was so tasty! Couldn't be happier with the amazing services and great eats!

Good food and very fast service. The Shawny pawny and roasted red pepper soup are delicious, however, the soup wasn't piping hot (personal preference) and they lost a couple stars on portion size and value. For an $8-$10 dollar lunch you can get a much healthier portion of food elsewhere within walking distance downtown. if you're in the mood for something light and not on a super tight budget, check it out.

Popovers and blondies, both very well done, though not much else to add other than if you're in the mood for a delicious blondie in a romantic setting, come to Blondie's. They do have one of the nicest sitting areas in Downtown St. Louis with a nice fireplace, plush seating and pastel colors, as well as an outdoor area to enjoy the outdoor happenings of Washington Ave, their hours have changed so check in if they'll have a live band or be open late in the evening.

Can you say ADORABLE!?! I had no idea that Blondie's would be so posh. It reminds me of a café you'd see in a Vegas hotel with a super cute patio attached. As we all know, though, looks aint everything...and Blondie's delivered! First, let me say that service was very good. The waitress nicely put up with my annoying questions since it was my first time there. We started with the popovers, which are huge by the way, with one sweet spread (honey-lime butter) and one savory (sunflower pesto). I have to say, the sweet spread far complimented the popover better than the pesto. I went with the pick 2 option, by making one of the wraps a sandwich (they can't make a half wrap - d'oh) and getting the greek salad. The sandwich was good, but the greek salad was phenomenal! The dressing was probably the best I've ever had. I will definitely be back to try a lot more items, including breakfast, dessert and some of the delicious-looking watermelon martinis I saw walking by (probably not all on the same visit, but you never know).

I really wish I could write a better review for Blondie's. It's the closest coffee shop to me, it's clean, has nice decor, and an ok lunch menu. What they lack is service. I ordered a half sandwich with the soup du jour and one of my friends ordered the same half sandwich with a different soup. After my friends received their meals, we waited for mine to arrive... and we kept waiting. After we were sure that someone had forgotten my order I flagged down a waitress and told her I was still waiting for my lunch and she replied "yeah it's coming, the soup du jour takes longer because they have to make it right then, you know?" and hurried away. What? Does that mean that they cook each soup of the day to order? If it had been worth the wait this would be a different story, but when that small cup of soup finally did come with my 1/2 sandwich, it tasted like salt. Disappointment upon disappointment!

I was here for my friends 30th birthday and while the atmosphere and decor was excellent the food was mediocre and the service was downright bad. Crab cakes were more breadlike than anything else and lacking any real chunks of crab, I would not recommend these at all. My steak sliders were actually quite good so if that sounds good to you I think they're a pretty safe bet here. Drinks? The drinks are great, if I went back here it would probably be just for a drink or 2 and nothing else. The real problem here is the kitchen seems disorganized and unable to cope with the small number of tables they have. We did not have an exceptionally large group and we had peoples appetizers never show up or show up with dinner, on top of that and really the deal buster was that half of us were done with dinner completely before the others even had anything to eat. Overall pretty much our entire group was very frustrated with the service. If Blondie's can get service figured out I think they'd really deserve a great rating.

A surprisingly delightful experience that I walked in to with zero expectations. Upon arriving in St. Louis, I found myself craving something filling and at least vaguely nutritious. The menu at Blondie's seemed to be standard lunch fare, so I figured it would suffice. The moment I walked in, though, I was utterly charmed by the decor. It was warm. It was inviting. It was bursting with character and coziness and delectable aromas and cheerful patrons and a gorgeous, crackling fireplace. I admit it, I am shallow. Lovely decor will always captivate my senses and leave me with a positive impression, regardless of the quality of the food. And the food was fine. Nothing extraordinary, but fine. Then again, I had a veggie sandwich and a fruit cup, so what in the world do you expect? It did the trick and filled me up. Speaking of which, I concluded my meal with one of their eponymous blondies. Sadly, it smelled better than it tasted. The blondie was on the dry side and it didn't have that soft, decadent texture that I covet in my bar desserts, but I sure didn't hate it. Also, the service simply couldn't have been friendlier and more attentive. Just a lovely experience overall.

This place is truly disappointing. I ordered a salad which I know does not have any pork product. Half way through my meal, I discovered a once of bacon. After I told my waitress that the bacon is in the salad, her response is "it's probably got thrown in there by accident". Really?! After I told her I don't eat pork, all she said is "ok!" And walked away. Wow! Didn't care at all. What if I was allergic?! I didn't even going to ask for a replacement. Yet, if she would have cared a bit to offer me for a replacement, it would have been better. She didn't even take it out of my bill! I've been in a less classy places to eat yet their service was top notched compared to this place. Don't waste your money people. Go someplace else.

Our intention was to go to Rooster.. but the wait at noon on a Sunday was 45 minutes.. crazy. So I pulled out Yelp to see what other downtown options I have and it suggested Blondie's. I love the laid back attitude and funky furniture. Boyfriend had a bagel and cream cheese and a blueberry pancake off the kids menu. He enjoyed himself.. I had the banana french toast.. very good but very sweet.. I think I would have enjoyed this as a half order and had something savory as well. Loved the bottle service for mimosa's. Had a $25 bottle of champagne and unlimited orange juice (great juice!). We will be back for sure!

Big Bang Latte is ahmazing! Portion sizes are very generous for the desserts and the BLONDE is to die for. Great chill atmosphere. Perfect for intimate conversation or a small group. Couples if can ask for the Round booth to the left of the front door. It's secluded from the rest of the place ;-)

Went in on a sat at 4 pm no customers in sight. Tables were dirty. After 10 minutes waiting they said it would be a 90 minute wait for food. I complained on fb they couldn't of cared less. Worst customer service ever. Only prepared at mealtime during workdays.

Stopped here for brunch with my family on the last day of our vacation to St. Louis. The service was terrible! The hostess was also the busser and the manager so she would disappear for 10-15 mins at a time. This is something that might work on a slower weekday morning, but not on a busy Saturday morning. Once we got a seat, it took over 10 mins to get the 2 chocolate milks that I ordered for my 2 toddlers. They also brought out my kids food about 15 minutes before they brought me and my husband's orders out. My kids were done with their pancakes before we even received our breakfast. As for the food, it was okay. My omelet was nothing special. My daughter's blueberry pancake was still a little doughy in the middle, but we didn't dare ask for a new one because it took so long to get it to begin with. The best part of the experience was the cute two block area in which this place was situated. If we are back in St. Louis anytime soon, we would probably pick another spot to stop.

Blondie's is definitely one of my favorite places for brunch in the city. The staff is incredible and the food is lovely. Every server I've had there is phenomenal. The perfect blend of attentive and friendly without being too uptight. There was a red headed barista there who made the best cup of coffee I've ever had. She also had a quirky charm that you can only find in coffee shops from the 90's. There's also a manager with brown hair who looks like an angel and is so friendly! All in all, I love Blondie's. Try the Mandie Sandie with potatoes! So good!

Breakfast burrito and Mimosas on a Saturday morning is where it's at. Go do yourself a favor and get one. Atmosphere is nice too. Service is alright...the servers seemed a little stressed out or something. I've been here a few times and every time it's been like that, even when it's not busy. Whatever. The food is great and, if you've got good company, you're set for brunch.

Really really enjoyed Blondies! The interior decor was amazing! I could have stayed there all day- Thats how nice the atmosphere is! I went for dinner and it was pretty good! I LOVED the goat cheese bruschetta and the smoked salmon bruschetta. The crab cakes were also delicious! Their shrimp small plate, meatball small plate, and MoRoe salad were just okay. Service was pretty good, although the receptionist was so tensed and a little rude. We were so stuffed from all the food, so we did not get a dessert. BUT I will definitely be back for some Banana Bread Pudding! Overall it was a good experience!

This is a very nice place to get breakfast or lunch. The atmosphere is great, very relaxed. The food is good too. I usually get the tuna salad sandwich and chips and I'm always very happy with my choice. My boyfriend has gotten the breakfast before, which I tried, and it is also very good. I would recommend stoping by for lunch!

I friggin' love this place and I have no friggin' clue why. The only thing I dislike more than wine is wine bars. It sounds so snooty and upscale and not me. Because it is also a coffee shop, though, the intimidation factor drops. It's not so fancy that I have to drink before I go just to calm myself down, but fancy enough that when I'm there I can actually suspend a reality where I'm a 300 pound single chick who lives in a studio apartment with five cats and makes minimum wage at a job where people throw up on me and call me a fat white bitch all day. The service today was inexplicably slow, but I would still go back. Maybe one of the luxuries of being a fancy person is freedom from the prison of time and rushing. Basically, the decor and vibe here trump everything else, and they could pretty much punch me in the face and I would still be grateful. This place is the ideal spot for a date. If you don't believe me, take me on a date here and see what happens. For my thoughts on the furniture, see: yelp.com/biz/yelp-drinks… After reading the menu, I still don't really get what inspired the brunette owner to name this place Blondie's. I mean obviously the term "blondie" is something some people call blonde chicks, which according to their menu stems from World War II. I've never heard anyone call a blonde chick "blondie", though. Like, "Hey you, blondie, come 'ere!" Probably because my life isn't a 1940's sitcom. I wanna go to Blondie's every day. I'm not kidding. Maybe they will hire me to sit and molest the furniture and not drink wine there every day.

Stopped in at Blondies for an early Saturday morning bite. Food was out just minutes after we ordered it. Everything was very tasty! Our waitress was lovely. I wasn't feeling well and she recommended a throat soothing tea that was delicious. She even made me an extra cup to go before we left. I am a bit of an egg snob, and the eggs over easy were cooked to perfection! I highly recommend Blondies for breakfast!

Count me in as a huge fan of brunch here. My mom wanted to go to Blondie's for Mother's Day brunch and we certainly weren't let down. The weather gods were on our side, too, so we got to enjoy it on the patio! We didn't sit on their actual patio, we had a table out front by the street. It was a good little spot, but I think next time I'd choose the patio since the occasional car parking in front of us ruined the view a few times. Regardless, I loved our table under our little umbrella. Service was pretty slow, but lets face it, everyone and their mother was out today (literally) and I think our server was new. They had a mimosa bottle service but the idea of a whole bottle of champagne was a little overwhelming, so we just got one each. Fresh, crisp, and delicious! I had a buzz by the fourth of fifth sip... oh the joys of being a lightweight. I ordered the eggs benedict and it was pretty darn good! The eggs were done perfectly and I was a big fan of the rosemary hollandaise, but I will say the prosciutto on top was a little fatty in spots which made it hard to eat. Regardless, it was yummy. The fresh fruit was yum and I highly recommend a side of cheese polenta squares! My mom and sister got omelets and I heard lots of oooohs and ahhhs so I'm assuming they were good as well. Of course we had to end the meal with the signature Blondie, which is a butterscotch & toffee blonde brownie topped with Serendipity vanilla ice cream & Blondie's caramel sauce. Just pure heaven, words cannot do it justice. I love this place more and more with every visit! If you haven't tried it yet, go now. I had doubts when I saw all of the things Blondie's was trying to be... but they actually do all of them really well. Consider me a huge fan.

Awesome place that we stumbled upon on a rainy morning traveling through St Louis. Great coffee and amazing cake. Their signature cake "blonde" is a must!!

This is a great, cute place to eat lunch in the downtown area. I like how they have a variety of baked goods and serve popovers with a variety of jams, in addition to sandwiches and salads. I went during a very busy day so the service was a bit slow, but our food was really good. I got a Peachy Keane (peach and pear) smoothie which was delicious!! Smooth and flavorful. Their salad was pretty good as was their sandwich (can't remember what I got right now). Their popovers were good too, got their strawberry jam (delish) and pumpkin (just OK). I bought their blondie to go, and their cookie. Both were just OK, their blondie was dry and not very good.

I couldn't think of a better place to write my 200th review about. This ironically enough was a third choice on a Sunday Funday brunch mission. We tried Rooster and Bridge first but they were so insanely busy, we walked up to Wash Ave, and saw Blondie's. When we walked in, I knew we were at the right place. Their decor from the lightning, the wall coverings, all the way down to the furniture was just spot on. It was a gorgeous day out, so we requested that we sit on the patio. We had to wait a few minutes, but with the cool vintage comfy furniture, it was more of a treat than anything. When we are seated, the waitress was very friendly, and went over all the options/specials with us. My girlfriend went for the create your own Bloody Mary Bar. There was all kinds of different mixes, vodkas, and ingredients to choose from. She was delighted. I believe she went with the homemade bacon flavored vodka, a spicy mix, and put about 5 different types of olives in there. She was a very happy girl. I opted for the mimosas. They brought you a bottle of champagne and brought you a mixture of juices as you requested. The juice was wonderful, as was the champagne. It was really a great start to our Sunday Funday. The food was equally as wonderful as the drinks. We started with some popovers. I never had a popover before, but was told how great they were. Well I was told correctly. They were very light, fluffy, and delicious. We talked the waitress into giving us a sample of all their different sauces/dips for them. All the dips were very good, although very different. For the main course, the girls got a selection of sandwiches/soups/salads. All of which were good. For me, I decided I was still feeling more of the breakfast vibe rather than lunch, so I went with the chocolate chip pancakes. Boy oh boy, that is like fat guy heaven right there! When they came out they were still very warm and the chocolate chips were just oozing out. I loved every minute of it! I've been back to Blondie's several times since this magical first time, and anytime I'm looking for another great Brunch experience they will be at the tippy top of my list!

Absolutely great customer service and the interior decor is very chic, true to it's name. As a vegetarian with a vegan partner, we are always pleased with the wide variety of food and drink options. Personally, I enjoy the popovers and absolutely love the mayan lattes (which are available in soy and almond varieties). I often find myself spending the morning/afternoon working and enjoying some dishes here with my GF.

We Tried to dine here for breakfast. Would not seat us at one of the empty tables for 6 because they were "saving" them for larger parties. Did not want to try and eat breakfast with it sitting in my lap. Left and will not return. Believe me they were not tearing down the doors to get in...

Been here for brunch, lunch, and late night dinner! Excellent service and marvelous food every time! I highly recommend the crab cakes, best I've had any where in STL so far! I'm a bit of a crab snob after living in the Pacific NW for two years, and these were just superb! During the warm months, their outdoor patio is just perfect in the evenings; and when it's oh-so-chilly out, they have a quant fireplace indoors too! A modern wine bar with the joys of being cozy, eclectic, and a wonderful gem of a place!

5/5 stars! Woohoo! I've been back to Blondie's again since my last update. It really does get better with each trip. It would be awesome if the betterness was not asymptotic but I don't know how it could get better again and again and then they go and exceed my expectations, yay?! ;) I ordered a white chocolate raspberry mocha latte thingy (I dunno if I said that right) a couple of days ago when I stopped in with Sean for some brunch. OMG. This may be the best latte I've ever had in my life. Like no joke. It wasn't over the top sickeningly sweet like some places make it, but it was definitely sweet enough to prevent me from going "ew bitter coffee flavor!" It had just the right amount of creamy foam on top and it was strong without being overpowering. I am seriously thinking about going there to get one right now, as I am writing this out, hehehe. My mouth waters when I think about eating a popover with the strawberry butter. And as a bonus, when I went there the other day, my popover was NOT burned on the bottom as it had been before, but rather perfectly golden brown! I also ordered the eggs Benedict (Blonde Benedict) and it was phenomenal! The Hollandaise sauce has rosemary in it, and instead of Canadian bacon there is prosciutto. Mmmm so good! It comes with a fruit cup which is light and refreshing. The OJ comes in a bottle (Tropicana I think?) which is nice if you drink too much latte and want your OJ to go for later. Great speedy food and service too. I will be back again, and again...!

It was a Friday evening, and there were MAYBE 4 other tables in the entire building. I was very hungry, and had ordered a chicken sandwich before even deciding on a drink. An hour goes by, and as I'm watching others (that arrived after us) get their food, I asked our server when my sandwich would be out. She said "soon." Another twenty minutes goes by and she finally brings it. I ask what had taken so long, and she says that "the cook had forgotten the ticket." I assumed that the server would knock something off of our bill for this, and I gave her the benefit without asking. However, when she brought us our bill, nothing had been taken off. My boyfriend told her that we really didn't want to pay for the sandwich, and she gave us a dirty look and walked away. She took it off, but I was thoroughly disappointed with this place!! Seemed like just another cliche Wash Ave restaurant.

I love everything about it EXCEPT for some Reason every time I go the wait staff is not really interested in helping me and really self involved with the fact they are busy. Either way understaffed or hires self absorbed staff. I live in the neighborhood and I'd say 80% of the time either my food takes forever or they unapologetically mess up my order. I really want to have good service... Desperately because I live the venue and food!!!

I am in love with Blondie's! I am writing this review after visiting for both a brunch experience and a dinner experience. Both occasions exceeded my expectations with service and flavor of the food! Brunch: I arrived for brunch around 11am on a Sunday afternoon. I was greeted and even though I was waiting for my friends to join the hostess was able to seat me on the patio while I waited. I didn't even have to order a water; the server brought a glass promptly. After contemplating between a mimosa or a coffee...the mimosa won; duh! What's a brunch without a mimosa? Good decision. Once my friends arrived we had mimosas all around while looking over the menu. Since we were all indecisive we decided to begin with some herb popovers-whoa! I had no idea what a popover was, but once I took a bite I knew I was in love. We also ordered some strawberry butter as well as sunflower poppy-seed for dipping. Great choices! My friends and I finally decided on meal choices. I ordered the blueberry pancakes-always my go-to choice for a brunch. One friend ordered the eggs benedict and the other ordered a veggie sandwich with soup. My only complaint of this brunch is that it took a very long time for our food to arrive...I mean it was just about 40 minutes before we got our food. Thank goodness for water and mimosas! The server was checking on us often and making sure we knew the status of the kitchen order, but seriously, 40 minutes? I think they can do better. Overall, brunch was delicious and I will recommend it to anyone looking for a good brunch. Dinner: I arrived for dinner on a Tuesday night around 7. If you are every looking for a relaxing spot on a Tuesday night-this is it! It was calm and very soothing to sit there for dinner and drinks. I am glad I went. My friend and I checked out the menu and made decisions after about 30 minutes of chatting. I could tell our server was anxious for us to put in our order since she was checking on us every 5 minutes. Okay okay, we will make a decision. I ordered the chicken salad which came with an herb popover and my friend ordered some kind of BLT (I think). The food came out quickly and I really enjoyed my chicken salad with the popover. I even shared my popover with my friend! We continued to drink wine and eat our meal with great conversation. Our server was checking on us every so often which was nice. By 9pm they were closing and I could tell we were being asked to leave (they turned the lights on brighter) which made the crowd pay checks and leave pretty quickly. Overall, dinner was tasty and the drinks were flowing. What a great place!

When I think about a great spot downtown to grab Martinis or wine with my girlfriends, Blondie's is first that comes to mind. Their adult beverages are adorably named after iconic women throughout history - and fantastic tasting. The decor inside is sophisticated but also "homey" and instantly makes you feel comfortable when you walk in the door. Blondie's is also a great spot for working remotely during the day or meeting a client. I haven't eaten here, so I can't give my opinion on the grub, but I like the way the menu looks. : )

Came here with a group of friends for brunch before a Rams game on Sunday. The place wasn't that busy at all so we were seated right away. Overall the atmosphere seemed nice. Everything on the menu looked great and we were told we could order either breakfast or lunch. Everyone opted for breakfast at our table because that's obviously the meal of choice for brunch, or really any meal of the day for that matter. I got the eggs benedict which was just ok. The hollandaise sauce was very thin and lacked flavor and the ham was thin and chewy. The egg was poached nicely though. Side of fruit was a nice option but had way to much bland melon. Everyone else seemed to have similar sentiments about their food. Two people got the slinger which was their biscuits and gravy with sausage and cheese. They both said it definitely was not the best biscutis and gravy they had and in fact said the gravy was super bland and some of the biscuits looked burnt. Mixed together with everthing the dish was ok because cheese does save all. I was also lessed than impressed with the service. Like I said it was very slow so there was a group of waitresses just standing aganist the wall talking and playing on their phones. You think having less to do would make them more attentive but that seemed to be the complete opposite. At one point I literally had to glare over at them and wave my hand just to get our order taken which is absolutely ridiculous. On the plus side was the bloody mary bar. You pick your vodka and salt rim then are left with a vast array of mixes, toppings, and condiments. It was a bit overwhelming and hard not to overdo it. Though the price was pretty steep and it was a shame that is wasn't unlimited. Probably the highlight of this visit was the gooey butter cake. Definitely one of the best I've had. Perfectly moist and gooey and sweet. Makes me wonder how this place is in the evenings as a wine and dessert bar. I'm guessing that it is probablty better suited for that than brunch. Overall this was an ok experience. I probably won't come back for brunch or lunch again when there are so many better places to go downtown for that but may try again in the evening for a nice dessert and glass of wine.

One of my friends dragged me here to visit and I was glad she did. The first thing you will notice about this place is the metropolitan interior. The lighting and design really sets this place apart and makes it a unique coffee/wine bar. Apart from traditional seating they have an awesome fireplace you can sit next to in comfy couches. Anytime you can sit next to a fire place, you go up a notch in my reviews. They have good food. I had a burger and my friend got a salad that had way too much dressing on it. But, this isn't a place you necessarily go for food. The real treat is their expansive wine/beer and dessert menu. They have so many options making this a great place to go and discover new beverages and treats. One thing you have to do if you go here for dessert is get the Blondie. It was one of the best desserts I've had in a while. They put a scoop of ice cream on the warm, decadent pastry. The dish is so large it can easily be split 2-3 ways. This place is probably an ideal date place. Fellas, if you want to impress your ladies, take her here--she will love it (It kind of looks like a giant Pinterest board). It's also a great place to hang out with an intimate group of friends. It has way different vibes than most Wash Ave bars. I'll be back in the near future.

Blondie's wins the award for the coziest new place to eat. Seriously, you walk in and it is so inviting, so cozy and comfy! LOVE it. Great booths, chairs, and a super cute area around a fireplace. I would love to curl up with a book, some drinks and some eats in front of it and just hang out. Of course my friends, the Gs, are the new foodie place ambassadors, and I got to go with them for lunch today. Service was great. Water was kept filled, we got new drinks when we needed them, and the food came out fast. We sat around finishing drinks and talking at the end and weren't rushed. We got to meet the owner, Kathleen, who made a point to come to talk to us and discuss the menu and more. I always appreciate it when the owner or manager makes an effort to talk to me. It makes a personal connection and shows they care. A big difference! That alone was really impressive. It was nice that she wanted our opinions on menu items. I loved my drinks - a boozy mocha and a non-boozy chai latte. Yum! For food, I got the cheese a saurus, basically a grilled cheese with pesto. It came with chips or fruit. I was disappointed it didn't come on a popover so they brought me one anyway (and didn't even charge me for it!). The sandwich had great flavors, but the bread wasn't toasted (like it was put in an over instead of a toaster). I would've liked that better. The herb popover was yummy! I also got to try the hummus that Tim ordered. It was REALLY good. Lots of feta and a nice tang. I would order this without a doubt next time. With popovers. And just eat that. There are several vegetarian options between small plates, salads, breakfast items, and sandwiches. They also have veggie soups that aren't on the menu that change, which I'm excited to go back and try. I really loved everything about it here and will be looking for an excuse to come back ASAP (ahem, Megan A!).

This place is beautiful. We just stopped in for after dinner drinks, but I feel obligated to get the word out - this is a GREAT date spot and it doesn't seem to be on the radar for many folks. The pictures here don't do the place justice at all. I think that and the coffee connection had me thinking downscale, but no. At least not the décor; prices are comparable to other wine bars in town, but I really have to rate this as one of the top romantic spots for a drink. We like the ambience at Sasha's on Shaw, Bridge, Cicero's, Bailey's Chocolate Bar, 3500 Winehaus, Ernesto's and some others for a late drink, but Blondie's beats them all. There was a group of about 10 in for a birthday party and they had a nice setup too. There is a nice patio, although it was a little too cold on this night. The menu is just right - plenty of interesting items to choose from, but not overwhelming; we were able to find exactly what pleased us and quickly. It was kind of sad to see the smalll turnout on this weeknight and I hope more people find this place. Put a bookmark out there and give it a try.

From all the reviews i just read, i probably shouldnt be writing this unless I've had brunch here, right?! Too bad. The food is still fresh in my belly, and thats the perfect time to write a review. I would give this place 5 stars on the interior alone- so stinkin' cute, and warming! I loved the decor, and had the weather been a smidge cooler, we woulda sat outside on the patio. This place was extremely last minute as we were on a time restraint and walking down Wash Ave and decided this place would suffice. I was immediatlely giggly when we walked up to the counter, becauselow and behold, they had a plate of bite size brownie pieces to try... It was love at first bite.. So moist, chocolatey and I knew the food wasnt going to disappoint. I ordered the Shawny Pawny, which was bursting with flavor-- the bread i thought was a TAD over toasted, but it was still soo delicious! My darling better half had the Chicken Salad sammich, and he said it was one of the best he's ever had---- i tested it to make sure it wasnt poisonous and it sure was tasty!!! yumm-o! I can definitely seeing us returning for lunch~! and maybe happy hour..who knows.. and Im keeping a mental note of the brunch yelps!

Stopped in for brunch on a Sunday morning. There was no wait, which was both a pleasant surprise and a little worrisome to me me. The ambiance was great! Seating was set up in quaint vignettes. Couches and coffee tables, arm chairs and small end tables, and regular tables and chairs. The food was ok. My Blondie Benedict had great flavor, but the eggs were overcooked. If I come back it would be for the atmosphere and a cup of coffee.

I was disappointed. I hated that very much because I was so excited to visit. My servers were overwhelmed for no reason because the place isn't big enough to bring an overwhelming crowd. I ordered the banana French toast and it was basically slop on my plate, not sure if that's the norm but I was not impressed. We did order a bottle of champagne which was $25 and came with unlimited juice, I think it would have been better on both ends to simply charge a flat fee for bottomless mimosas. I spent the majority of my visit mixing my own mimosa, not ideal for a Saturday brunch.

I am slowly working my way through the menu here and haven't been disappointed at all! The cheese plates are great with a good serving of cheeses (thank you for always having a white cheddar, yum!). The olives are great, the salads, the nibbles, and oh my goodness the Blonde Brownie is to die for! The patio is lovely and shaded most of the day and the service has always been impeccable (where there was one very uninterested waitress, but it was busy so I'll let her slide this once). With such an inventive idea the drinks are all named after famous blondes and they don't disappoint either. I look forward to making this my own little Cheers!

Blondie's is an oasis in the bustling Washington Avenue restaurant and bar district. It is fresh and nicely decorated with a contemporary blonde color scheme of pale yellows and grays. Lots of openness, natural light and sunshine, a rarity for downtown eateries. They also have a nice patio on the side of the building. The overall design has a feminine edge, but the crowd doesn't reflect it. They primarily specialize in desserts, beverages, wine, coffee, and smoothies. They offer a few entrees, cheese plates, and small plates during dinner. During the day the menu is mostly sandwiches, salads, and flatbreads, with a few extras during breakfast and weekend brunch. I had the Shawny Pawny sandwich: Turkey, Bacon, Avocado, Lettuce. It was a simple sandwich with homemade chips and I had the banana-strawberry smoothie with it. My lunch was quick, simple and tasty. There seemed to be an excessive amount of racket with the table bussing that was going on across from us, but overall a good experience and friendly, attentive staff.

Great outside seating on a nice day. Decor inside is very cool as well. We ate here for brunch and found the portions to be small but perfect. Food isn't outstanding but it's good and inexpensive. They have a great deal for mimosas, $30 for a bottle of Chandon with your choice of juice. They also have a bloody mary bar that is decent.

The food is pretty darn good. This is a quintessential brunch spot in the neighborhood and I'd frequent it, if I lived here. The one weird thing that happened this morning is that I dropped by with three friends and when the food came out, they brought out 2 plates then 10 minutes went by and they brought out mine and then another 7 minutes went by before the final plate of food arrived. That was a bit weird. Check it out though. It might become your go-to spot.

After seeing one of my favorite friend (and yelper), Erin's review I had to try this place. She never steers me wrong. I went here for breakfast this last Tuesday with a friend of mine. The ambiance of this place blew me away. I loved everything! The fireplace and the decor. So posh. Loved it. The staff was friendly too. I ordered a breakfast panini which I believe was The Lucan? It was different than I pictured it would be, but it was decent. I had a butterscotch frappe that was so good. Best frappe ever. Yeah I know I'm crazy for drinking a frappe when it was snowing outside! I also tasted my friends rasberrry cappachino which was really good, even though I hate the rasberry taste. Will I come back? Absofreakinglutely. Although, I want to try their alcoholic coffees, cause I'm just that kind of girl.

Thursday night. 7pm. The stars are for the desert. The burger the chorizo flatbread and chicken soup was great. There was only one server there it seemed. 6 tables maybe and the cold chicken sandwich I ordered took about 30 minutes to get to me. Terrible.

St. Louis has a ton of dining choices..therefore if would be very wise for restaurants to ALWAYS put their best foot forward...Today, Blondie's forgot that rule. While the food was tasty, service was HORRIBLE!! The restaurant was not particularly swamped, so being overwhelmed was not our server's issue. It took her far too many minutes between her table visits and in fact, appeared to be very pained each and every time we had to ask for something. Took our order and even recommended some of the spreads for the popovers. Our food order arrived BEFORE the popovers and the side of sausage arrived AFTER my daughter had finished her pancakes. Light bulb moment, the popovers should have come FIRST and the sausage WITH her pancakes. When asked, her snotty replywas, I forgot to put the order in! How could she forget, she suggested the spreads! Never refilled water, never got ordered additional drinks and just generally acted very put upon and disinterested. For that matter, the food server also had much attitude. Word of advice Blondie's, if you have workers that do not willingly want to wait on ALL of the customers in a professional, friendly manner, FIRE them. There are plenty of people who want to work. Now you've received negative comments and aliented customers. BTW/the manager did adjust the bill and provided treats, but that should not have to happen. Wait staff should not have to be cleaned up after. So if you go, you have been warned, expect crappy service!

I wish I could sit here and say that I absolutely loved this place, but I think truly for me it really was just an A-OK experience. Kate B. and I came here for a late afternoon coffee date. Kate was gushing on how she had written so many reviews for it and how she found it so quaint. She was also on a mission to get their white chocolate raspberry mocha latte again too. When we arrived, Kate was more than generous to get me a coffee and to my surprise a popover. I had never heard of a popover before this experience. So, to give you the Wikipedia version, it is the following: A popover is a light, hollow roll made from an egg batter similar to that of Yorkshire pudding, typically baked in muffin tins. With that being said, it was pretty darn good. The coffee I ordered was a bit of letdown, I am not going to lie. I ordered the vanilla latte. Simple right? It just seemed bland and unexciting to me. Kate offered me to try her's, and my instant reply is, "I should have gotten that!" I return to the counter and ask if I could get a different coffee. The lady kind of smirked at me and said she would replace it, but typically they do not do this because they're not able to reuse the product. Understood, totally. I am grateful she replaced it for me. She ended up bringing it to our table after it was made a few minutes later. I was content. Indeed, I can understand Kate's sentiment on why she comes here for the coffee. Honestly, I am not sure if I would come out of my way and make a special trip downtown just to eat/drink at this place. It really was an alright experience, but nothing more than mediocre. The food was OK, and the overall experience was OK.

Does Wash Ave. need another place with great food especially when it serves table side until midnight on the weekends?? Yep. Yep it does! The only time I've ever eaten at Blondies is after 11pm when I am winding down my night or getting my second wind. Yes, I alternate between boring and adventurous. I've tried the Ace and the Breenan Reece sandwiches. Delicious. I've also had their wicked good lattes spiked. Of course. The service is quite good and friendly and the wine list is not to be sneezed at. The space is relaxing and open. Not what you would expect from a Wash Ave. eatery. There is something to be said for a place to pop in for grown ups not ready to toss cookies or stumble around aimlessly. Leave that for everyone else. Blondies can be that calm before or after the storm.

Overall, we had a good first experience. We came by on a very cold night. I like the decor; it felt very warm and inviting. We grabbed some drinks and a couple of desserts. The desserts were hit or miss. The hot fudge cake was amazingly rich and tasty, but the chocolate cake was pretty ho-hum and a bit dry. Marilyn Monroe was a great drink (as everyone else has already mentioned). I don't recall having many cocktails with what I call complex flavors, but this was interesting, in a good way, and not overly sweet. Unfortunately, other drinks we ordered were pretty unmemorable. Our waitress was very nice and stayed on top of things to get us what we needed. We will return in the near future. I'm definitely glad to see this place open up on a street that doesn't really have many chill alcohol + dessert places. I also liked that the other patrons were pretty laid back...a great vibe that isn't easy to find on Wash Ave.

LOVE LOVE LOVE !!! I was in St. Louis last weekend for a wedding and randomly wandered into Blondie's. There were six of us, all from out of town, and we were all blown away with the excellent service and posh atmosphere. Oh and last but not least the delicious desserts! Overall fantastic experience and will definitely be revisiting next time I'm in town. Not to mention, I forgot my credit card after I closed out and Blondies graciously mailed it back to me (as I didn't realize until I was already back home in New Orleans) rather than have me cancel it. Thanks y'all ;)

This is a good hang out alternative to a bar. Dessert options plus coffee and drink options. They have good wine and beer list. Price is not cheap but not too expensive. Good place to go with friends if you have a board game night. Chocolate cake was good.

Great customer service. They let us bring our large Pomeranian up on the patio with us, where he stayed tucked away under our chairs. They even brought a bowl of water out for him. Our food was really good. The price is reasonable ($20 for two) for sit down cafe food.

My fiancee and I have lived in St. Louis for almost 2 years now and have heard some good things about Blondie's so we decided to go for Sunday Brunch. We show up at around 9:30am to a half empty restaurant and are told there is a 20-30 min. wait. As we look around, most of the tables have "reserved" signs on them. At about 20 min. into our wait 2 tables leave. One of the tables gets cleaned and a "reserved" sign gets placed on it. The other table gets cleared and instead of being wiped off, I see the Manager come over and wipe the crumbs from the table onto one of the chairs. Then one of the reservations walks in a is seated immediately. This is the first table we have seen seated, and they were 20 min. late for their reservation. The Manager then proceeds to seat the group of people in front of us at the table that she had previously wiped the crumbs onto the seat. When we are finally seated a lovely waitress comes over and takes our drink order. We begin to look over the menu and choose a few things to share. We were really excited to try the basket of popovers as well as the many different spreads that go with it. My fiancee also ordered the turkey and bacon bagel with breakfast potatoes and I ordered the egg white sandwich with fruit. Unfortunately the popovers were so overcooked and dry that they were inedible. When my fiancee's sandwich came it was not what the menu would lead you to believe. In place of turkey, there was turkey sausage. The fruit with my sandwich looked like it had been left out for hours and consisted mostly of dessicated and near rotting melon (see picture attached). When we brought our disappointments to the attention of our server (who actually was pretty great), she sent the manager over who then proceeded to blame the server for miss-communicating the menu intentions and condescendingly gave an insincere apology for our unfortunate experience and then invited us back for another try. Despite the seating fiasco, we were really hoping that the food would make our trip worth while. Unfortunately that was not the case and I do not recommend wasting your time here.

I wish I had as enjoyable of an experience as everyone here. But I didn't. My boyfriend and I came here for brunch on a Saturday morning, we ordered: Cafe Au Lait: I wasn't sure (and didn't check) what kind of coffee they were using, but the coffee wasn't really very good, so I wonder if they just use Folgers or something. I don't know, could have actually been Kaldi's or something, but they didn't advertise anything special. Chai Tea: very sweet, customer beware! Omelet: A decent-sized omelet, but with only three ingredients, there wasn't very much flavor or taste... There were also a couple slices of toast, but since my bf and I don't eat gluten, all he really got was an omelet. No substitutions were allowed. Three Eggs Your Way: I had wanted the benedict (with prosciutto and rosemary hollandaise) originally, but since I couldn't substitute the biscuit, I decided to get three poached eggs with a side of the hollandaise sauce. The eggs came with a few slices of bacon. Overall, I found the food to be very plain (the aforementioned things could all be made at home by someone who knows how to make eggs; aka, there was nothing special about the meal we had at Blondie's), the cost to be way too much (our order ended up being $25), and the atmosphere left a lot to be desired (I think having TVs really cheapen a place; coffee and wine bar with televisions? I don't really understand?). Not coming back or recommending it. If you're looking for an authentic STL brunch place, I'd recommend Rooster (also downtown) or half&half (Maryland Ave).

Love this place. The location is probably the best thing about it for me, not that any of you care. Calling in my lunch order and picking it up takes a grand total of about 15-20 minutes. Awesome. Their brunch is great, with lots of different options to choose from. My hubz loves the Bloody Mary bar...just wish it wasn't so pricey. Dinner options are decent--a "small plate" will usually fill me up, along with a glass or two of wine. Try their margarita flatbread--yummy! Great ambience, always exceptionally friendly servers, and delicious food. I'd like to see the menu change up a little bit more though...or maybe I should just stop going there so much. I'm really looking forward to some warmer weather so I can try out the patio scene!

Blondie's food is amazing! From the juicy burgers to the creamy chicken salad. And don't miss out on the popovers...such a fun treat. Everything I've tried has been delicious, consistently fresh and well-prepared. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, and the place has a neighborhood feel to it. My go-to lunch destination.

The coziness, uniqueness, and the fact that it is just so dang cool looking would get them 5 stars, however our brunch experience on New Year's Day gets them an unfortunate 2 stars. The place was a mess on New Year's Day. All the staff members were super friendly and apologetic, and I totally get that you're probably short staffed but there was absolutely no organization at all. People were getting mad because they seated groups out of order and the hostess thought our group left when we were sitting right next to her. Geez we were annoyed. After getting seated the drama settled down quite a bit. As far as the food goes, the popovers were not that good. The spreads for the popovers were better than the actual popovers. The biscuits and gravy were yummy, but mine were served cold. I imagine they were sitting out for a while because it took over 45 minutes to get our 2 orders of biscuits and gravy and 2 omelets. I was so not in the mood to do anything but eat and go home, so I ate them cold and didn't say anything. Oh well. The cafe mocha was good but other than that better luck next time...

Amazing popovers, super strong coffee, yummy panini options, and a build your own bloody mary bar. Would have given 5 stars but the service was super slow and the bloody mary bar was out of a lot of ingredients. It also seemed like the staff didn't want to be there. Next time I'm in St Louis I will be back to try again.
